What Does It Mean to Be Phenomenal?

We hear the word "phenomenal" tossed around as if it’s reserved for the highlight reels—the big wins, the perfect moments, the people who seem to have it all together. But that’s not what being phenomenal means to me. In fact, it’s the opposite.

Being phenomenal is about showing up as your whole self, even (especially) when things are messy. It’s about having the courage to grow, to create, and to connect—not just when it’s easy, but when it’s hard. It’s choosing to be present for the little moments: the quiet walks with my dogs, caring for my mum, the late-night songwriting sessions that remind me I’m still alive and evolving.

Phenomenal isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. It’s about embracing the full spectrum of who we are—our struggles, our creativity, our relationships, and our hopes. My journey to this realization has been anything but linear. I’ve lost, reinvented, and rediscovered myself more times than I can count. Each time, I’ve found a little more of my own phenomenal force.

My hope is that this space—this blog—becomes a place where you see your own journey reflected. Where you’re reminded that growth is possible, connection is powerful, and that you, too, are phenomenal exactly as you are. Let’s explore what’s possible together.
